I feel like it’s pretty mean spirited that you’re belittling Peacock/Leduc just for having a ship you don’t care for by implying ‘it’s not normal’. I don’t ship it myself, but what’s abnormal about it? It’s even planned to be canon in Skullgirls according to the lore thread. The same thread even mentions Leduc being 15 and Peacock’s 13, 2 years apart, so I don’t see how it’s wrong in an ‘ huge age gap’ way either.
Even if you don’t agree with it, it’s pretty normal for people to ship something that the creators themselves have considered canon. If you said ‘I don’t care for this ship” without throwing the people who do ship it under the bus that would be different; but it’s harsh to make people feel bad about shipping something just because you don’t like it.
They’re adoptive siblings
I don’t know, that’s kind of like saying all orphans in an orphanage are siblings just because they live under the same roof. Can you link me the canon information that specifically Leduc and Pea are “adoptive siblings”? The only thing I can find is that Leduc and Hive and a sibling-like bond, but not anything like that for Peacock and Leduc. I don’t think Lab Zero would write it so theyre both siblings but Peacock would crush on him at the same time.
My point is that it’s totally cool if you consider them that way and there’s nothing wrong with that, and there’s nothing wrong with saying you don’t care for that ship. But if others think of their relationship differently, or even just ship them because it’s a canon ship, then i just think it’s mean to completely diss them. I’m just saying we can all have our ship opinions and not be putting down others who ship something differently.
